**Phillips' Lumber Company is now closed**
We've been in the lumber business for over 70 years.
It was in 1937 that A.C. Phillips began his career in the lumber business at Lyon Gray Lumber Company in Wolfe City, Texas. Except for four years spent in the Air Force during World War II, he was always actively involved in the industry. Over the years, he progressed through the company ranks, becoming president of the firm in 1965.
In 1971, Phillips bought controlling interest in Lyon Gray, changed the name to Phillips Lumber Company, Inc., and moved to a four acre site in Wilmer, Texas. A 3.5 acre site in Cedar Hill, purchased in 1974 is now managed by Steve Phillips, president of the company. This Texas-based, family-owned company operates every day with one thing on our minds: our customers.
